Uncertainty is easily the most important thing to master, both as a capacity and a capability.

Uncertainty and change are one of our few constants but ironically the least developed in leadership and teams.

I create leaders and teams with greater resilience to uncertainty AND greater capability to leverage uncertainty to deliver change and success.

In Mathew Syed’s article in the Sunday Times he points to one of the possible starting points for developing greater capacity for uncertainty by highlighting the importance of saying, ‘I don’t know’.

As leadership is a practice, where would it be positively impactful for you to practice saying, ‘I don’t know’?

Remember, if you don’t change, neither will your outcomes.

Or as Heraclitus put it, "Character is fate."
